What size truck do I need to tow this?
Most modern 1/2 ton trucks can tow around 10,000 lbs, and all of our units are under that weight. The Equipment Carrier has a 14,900 lb GVWR, one of the heaviest trailers in our fleet, so you will need a properly rated tow vehicle. Factor in the weight of your load plus the trailer itself, and confirm your truck's towing capacity before you book. We can help you figure that out when you reserve.
How do the winch and ramps work for loading?
The Equipment Carrier comes with a 12,000 lb winch plus 5' rear ramps and side ramps. The winch lets you pull a non-running vehicle or heavy piece of equipment straight up onto the deck without needing it to drive itself on. The side ramps give you a second loading angle when the rear approach is not practical, which is useful for wider equipment or tight jobsite access.
